Matador Travel Gear – Daylite 16 and Pocket Blanket

Travel should be my first name.  I’m always on the road. And organizing everything I need to take on my next trip can get a little tricky.  Each trip varies, requiring different options from my last trip. One item I pack every time regardless of the destination or how many bags I’ll check – or not check, is an expandable, foldable bag made with durable material. I love these bags because when folded they fit in the palm of your hand.  They are easy to pack, simple to open and spacious for packing all the things you’ll need for a day trip, shopping, hiking or last-minute carry-on items.

I recently received a free sample of the Matador Daylite 16 backpack and Pocket Blanket.  I loved the backpack immediately – lightweight ( only 4.1 ounces), roomy (16-liters unfolded), durable (crafted with high-quality Cordura ripstop material) and it’s gray with red trim!  Two of my favorite colors.  The dark gray color keeps stains out of sight and gives the bag a very classy, ultra-metropolitan look – even if you’re shopping in a small village market or finding your spot on a crowded beach.  It’s got style and functionality.

www.travelwithannita.com/matadorgearIt was the perfect bag for my trip to Jamaica. Each day I was running around, jumping in and out of our van to record interviews all over the island.  I could easily place everything I needed in the bag.  My recording device with two wireless mics, camera, iPad, a sunhat, light sweater and my wallet fit with no problem. And because the bag is so lightweight, there was no additional weight on my back as I ran up and down stairs, around the beach and from place to place.  Everything was well protected with the fabulous material – no worries about rips.  With an inside zipper compartment, my wallet was safe and secure.  Prepared for a full day and the side pocket filled with a bottle of water, we were off.  Look out traditional backpacks – this bag has changed the idea of how a backpack should look, feel and perform.

After all my running around, heading to the beach to relax with a fuzzy drink was top of my list.  It’s hard work running around Jamaica!  Yes, I know; how hard can it be – I’m in Jamaica!  But, being out and about can be hectic, and the Matador Daylite 16 let me focus on work and not fussing around with my bag.   With breathable airflow straps, large compartments, two sides pockets and waterproof fabric, there was no need to head back to the room, but straight to the beach with my bag in tow.

Pocket blanket easily fits in your purse or backpack.

I took along with me the Matador Pocket Blanket. It is compact, and I packed it in one of the side pockets of my backpack. It is the perfect companion for the beach, hiking,  a romantic picnic or covering a beach chair when you’re not in your swimwear!  And, at 63 x 44 inches, it is perfect for two.  With the Matador Pocket Blanket, there is no stopping you from enjoying the great outdoors anytime!

The Pocket Blanket 3 steps: 1. Take our of your bag. 2. Unfold 3. Relax

When it was time to head home, the Matador Daylite 16 folded into the smallest package fitting in my purse. I kept it there just in case I needed it for shopping in duty-free at the airport.  And, I did!  Other customers and the store attendants wanted to know how a bag which fits in the palm of my hand, is large enough to haul my stash of Rum Cakes back to the States.

It’s the perfect choice for you too. Whether you are planning a day trip, going on a hike, a busy mom running daily errands or a world travelers with the need for flexibility – Matador Daylite 16 can adjust to your lifestyle instead of you trying to fit into the confines of your bag.  It truly becomes – your bag!
