Seventy-seven years after famed aviator Amelia Earhart attempted to fly around the world in her twin engine plane, her name sake Amelia Rose Earhart retraced her journey and successfully completed it on July 12, 2014.
Amelia Rose along with co-pilot Shane Jordan completed the 24,000+ mile trip in 18 days in their single engine Pilatus PC-12 aircraft.
On Saturday she will share with us how she planned and prepared for this monumental journey and we’ll ask her how she celebrated successfully crossing Howland Island in the central Pacific; the area where it is believed her namesake’s journey tragically ended.
You’ll be inspired by this successful young lady and I can’t wait to ask her what she’s doing now and has planned for the future. How will she top such an awesome accomplishment as this one…. and she’s just 31 years old!
