Jekyll Island’s Shrimp and Grits festival is a yummy blast. Each year chefs compete in the professional competition to be the best in the land! This year, our very own Doc Bill along with his partner Jerome Dixon –  put their chef hats in the ring. Did you miss the show? We made an exciting announcement about the Shrimp and Grits festival and I talked about Mexico highlighting how much fun I had! I learned a lot, ate a lot and enjoyed a fantastic day on the water. And! The artwork was fabulous.

I’ve been on the road a lot lately! And, it is time to share all of the fun, food and friends I’ve made along the way. I’ve seen many really interesting sites and eaten food that has me wishing for more.

This Saturday I will talk with Natalie Smith with Palace Resorts in Mexico. Beautiful all-inclusive vacation properties that have something for everyone. I’m sure you’ll hear a favorite for you! Natalie is the Business Development Manager for Georgia, Alabama, Florida and South Carolina.

I spent several glorious days on Isla Holbox, off the coast of Mexico. Fishing, swimming, snorkeling and just plain old relaxing was on the itinerary. I’ll share and compare my experience with a new friend Max Hartsthorne editor of GoNomad.com. Max has been sharing his experiences via GoNomad.com since 2002 and has traveled to almost every country in the world!
