Wow!  Who knew Macon would hit center stage with Mercer winning the game over Duke!  Well, we have no crystal ball, but we know a good thing when we see it and after a visit to Macon, we had to share the love!  Check out the show and we’re sure you’ll agree. Jump in your car and head to Macon.

Macon, Georgia is more than a couple of exits as you travel on I-75 and 16 East. Take a detour and you’ll find culture, history, and music come together to make a city filled with heart and soul.

With so much to do, you’ll really need more than a detour; you need to plan your very own special trip with the family to discover museums, historic homes and great food.

Have you ever had a peanut butter hamburger?  There’s one for you in Macon and how about a great hotdog at a historic hotdog stand … now restaurant?  Either makes a perfect stop after touring the city.

And, who knows more about Macon and what’s goin’ on in the heart of Georgia than the Macon-Bibb County Convention and Visitors Bureau.  They are the go to place for info and what’s trending.

Our guest, Valerie Bradley works with the Macon-Bibb County Convention and Visitors Bureau and she’ll share what’s going on now with the start of the Cherry Blossom Festival to year round fun just down the road from us.

Valerie joined the Macon-Bibb County Convention & Visitors Bureau in October 2011 as the Communications Manager. In her role, Valerie develops the communications strategy, manages social media as well as serves as the spokesperson for the CVB. She previously held positions in sales and communications with Altria and Coca-Cola and is a graduate of the University of Alabama.
