Visit The Galapagos Islands A Dream Vacation

We have top tips for visiting the Galapagos Islands – a dream vacation. One which many people have on their list of places they would love to visit. If you’re like me before my trip I had lots of questions. And, I really wanted to know more about what it’s like to sail around the Galapagos islands.

On our show I share my experience during a visit in July. I sat down with our tour guide Miguel who has worked as a guide for 20 years. We talked about everything from the Galapagos National Park to how each boat has a specific itinerary and the many animals you’ll see.  You can listen to the show with the playlist below.

I was invited and hosted by Latin Trails to experience their luxury six-day cruise onboard the Dominica ship. I flew from Atlanta to Quito and spent a day touring the beautiful city with Six Senses Tour. On my tour I made chocolate truffles, visited a honey and soap craft shop, sampled local cuisine and visited historic locations.

I spent two nights at the luxurious and beautiful Illa Hotel located in a refurbished historic home with very artistic doors and dramatic views; afterwards I took a flight over to Guayaquil to start my six days onboard the Sea Star luxury ship.

For more information and how you can start planning your vacation, visit the website for Latin Trails

I’d love to share with you Miguel’s conversation about how the Galapagos National Park oversees the islands.  Click the playlist below.

    Dear Anita,

Loved this article and your pod casts. Both ILLA and Sea Star are top class properties, I hope this pandemic is over soon and travelers can enjoy these world class properties again. Ecuador really needs tourism to restart, it is a matter of time mainly. Thank you for inspiring people to visit.
