Jack’s Liver Brownies

Jack's Liver Brownies

Wow!  This week I’ll share something a little different on our Let’s Grub With Doc Bill’s blog. Here’s a recipe for Jack’s Liver Brownies.  Usually, I share a great recipe for a delicious meal – a human meal that is.  Jack’s Liver Brownies are something very special for your puppy friends who give so much unconditional love; it’s fitting that we would make something just for them.

With Valentine’s Day right around the corner, it is a great time to show a little affection for your special pup.

Try the recipe and you’ll become their  best friend all over again.

Ingredients:

1.5 lbs of fresh chicken livers

1.5 cups whole wheat flour

1 cup wheat germ

2 large eggs

Mix all ingredients in a large blender or food processor and beat until smooth.

(The pureed fresh chicken livers will make the liquid needed for the recipe)

Pour the mixture into a large brownie pan greased with oil (13 x 9 x 2)

Bake at 350 degrees for 20 to 30 minutes until firm

Let cool before serving.

Cut into the appropriate size for your dog.
