Georgia Fall Festivals in October brings great times for exploring the state and discovering something new about our beautiful cities and communities.  You may think of Fall Festivals are mainly taking place in September, but October has an extensive list of outdoor adventure and fun for the whole family-all around festivals.

North Georgia Folk Festival
Join the fun on Saturday, Oct. 7 for a fun-filled, family-friendly and a good time for the whole family.  Come on over to Sandy Creek Park in Athens from 11 am – 6 pm where there will be activities for children, traditional arts, and crafts demonstrations and you can purchase them too! There’s music too until 9 p.m. and features 14 acts on two stages. Children under 12 are admitted free. Student tickets are $8, and adults are $15. Oconee Chamber Fall Festival
That place to be on Saturday, Oct. 21, is Historic Downtown Watkinsville from 9 a.m. – 4 p.m., for the 43rd Annual Oconee Chamber Fall Festival. With more than 200 booths you’ll have a great making your way to all the vendors at the festival this year.  The KidZone will have pony rides, a mechanical bull ride, inflatables and a train ride; so much fun! Stein & Stem – Formerly known as the Wine Fest
For an event where you try various local wines and beers is perfect for the food and beverage enthusiasts and the Stein & Stem won’t disappoint.  With a sophisticated atmosphere in a relaxing environment, you’ll enjoy a tasty evening filled with fun and laughter. It will all happen in historic Bishop on Sunday, Oct. 15, 2017.  You may know this event as Wine Fest. And,  there’s a silent auction, so you can go home with a couple of delicious beverages. Madison Chili Cook-Off & Fall Festival
Bring your best Chili recipe on On Oct. 7 from 10:30am – 4pm and enter your chili for bragging rights at the Madison’s Chili Cook-Off & Fall Festival! No special recipe?  No problem you can cast your vote for the best batch in the public sampling. There is also a cornbread contest, live music, and a handmade/homegrown market. Taste of Eatonton
On Oct. 2 from 6:30 p.m. – 8:30 p.m Eatonton becomes a tasty destination. The location of this foodie’s delight is the Plaza Arts Center.  You’ll find lots to taste from local restaurants. Deep Roots Festival and Haunted Trolley Tour
There’s a favorite event that’s been drawing crowds for years.  It’s the Deep Roots Festival taking place on Saturday, Oct. 21 from 10 a.m. – midnight. Thee will be  cultural arts and music in historic downtown Milledgeville. And, for the antique car lovers, you’ll want to check out the incredible car show! Live Blue Grass music and  “LittleRoots KidZone.” brings something for the whole family! Hay House Toast and Taste
Macon’s famous and historic landmark built in 1855 –   the Hay House is open for an elegant, fall event. On Oct. 19, 2017, the Hay House welcomes to adults with its annual Toast and Taste, serving the finest Macon wines, brews and local cuisines along with a live auction all for the preservation of this beautiful home called – “The Palace of the South!” .
