Spring Break
Charleston South Carolina getaway. It’s not too late for a Spring Break getaway and a road trip to South Carolina fits the bill.

Here are our suggestions for making Charleston a say “Yes” Day for the whole family.
1. Seabrook Island equals …. Horseback Riding
There is a full-service Equestrian Center on the island. It features one of the few beach rides on the East Coast. No worries about skill levels they cater to riders of all skill levels with guided trail rides, pony rides and riding lessons. 3. Schooner Pride
Charleston’s only 3-mast tall ship offers a unique and memorable way to tour on the waters around Charleston. Sails the coastal area in a Ship modeled after an 18th century coastal trading schooner. Each day tours leave for dolphin tours, and sunset tours. The perfect way to have fun and experience history too.
4. Paddleboarding
What’s a great way to discover the sights and sounds of the Lowcountry – from atop a paddleboard. Stand-up paddleboarding has become a very popular way to explore have an adventure on the water. Explore the tidal creeks behind Folly Beach where you may encounter wild dolphins, wading birds, otters, oyster beds and more. All skill levels are welcome to join in the fun. 5. Carriage Ride with Palmetto Carriage Works
Take a carriage ride through 25 – 30 blocks of Charleston’s historic downtown district. It’s the perfect way to see the historic homes, mansions, churches, gardens ad parks. Take the family on a tour where fun and learning combine as your make your way around the city by carriage.
6. Golfing at Wild Dunes Resort

7. Fishing – all day long
It goes without say, fishing is an all time favorite when on the coast. 9. Beardcat’s Sweet Shop
Located on Sullivan’s Island… it’s definitely worth the short drive sweets shop sits below The Obstinate Daughter on Sullivan’s Island. Guests can enjoy locally sourced artisanal gelato and sorbets with a variety of flavors including almond Bischof, pistachio, strawberry and chocolate. In addition to cups of gelato, Beardcat’s offers sandwiches, pastries, breakfast sandwiches and Counterculture coffee.
10. Take in the city sights – on a pirates tour
Tour guides Eric and Sabrina Lavender, along with their trusty parrots, lead you through the French Quarter and along the waterfront, exploring the oldest sections of the city. It’s fun, and filled with great facts and dates of the Golden Age of Piracy and Charleston’s pirates. You’ll get the sense of what it was like for both male and female pirates. Sign up for the 2-hour walking tour and you’ll be ready to set sail on the pirate ship.
