A cultural tradition – Whelk harvesting

Culture and travel are interconnected. So when I have an opportunity to see culture and tradition come alive the trip becomes even more special. Having an opportunity to go Whelk harvesting on Sapelo Island was an awesome experience. This tradition dates back on Sapelo over many generations.
