Delta rescindes fare hike

Travel News | 0 comments

Now that’s good airfare news for a change!  Initially Delta planned to increase fares for flights booked within seven days of travel by $4 to $10 per flight.  The fare increase would have been in addition to a previous increase earlier this year.  For most of us we are traveling for a family  vacation or a get-away and travel is generally booked more than seven days in advance.  But for the business traveler, any increase for last minute booking can put a few bumps in your budget.

According to Farecompare, after other airlines did not join the move for fare increases, Delta rescinded their plans and for now, the $4 – $10 increase will not take effect.
