Black History Month –
With A Visit To Augusta, Georgia

Black History Month is the perfect time to visit one of Georgia’s historic cities.  Augusta is the home of The Godfather of Soul and any where you go around the world, if you mention the city of Augusta, you’re sure to hear the name James Brown.  On our show, we take you to Augusta to learn more about this music icon and other notable people who called Augusta home.

We’ll take you on a visit to the Augusta Museum of History and the Lucy Laney Museum.  And, delicious food is always a part of the show and Denise Turner will share her unique take on healthy food options.  You’ll also hear my guests Eleanor Prater, with Augusta & Co. who will give us an overview of the city and what has made it a special place for relaxation for generations.  Nancy Glaser (Augusta History Museum) along with Corey Rogers with the Lucy Laney Museum, share the fascinating history of the communities and people who shaped the city into the one we know today.

Take a listen to the show and leave us a comment letting us know your favorite James Brown song.
