Temecula – Wine, Lavender and Olive Oil
– I Travel Because

We want to take you to Temecula, California, known for their wineries but Annita had a chance to visit several wineries –

Somerset Vineyard & Winery –

Take a tour of the vineyard and hear how two brothers decided to go into winemaking with a group of close friends. They were in it for the love of wine and to create a legacy of sharing good times and great wine with family and friends. Check out their website – www.somersetvineyard.com

Bottaia Winery – Oh a beautiful Italian inspired winery; with an unexpected way to say… I’m getting away today.  There is the wine tasting room, but an outside restaurant offers a delicious menu and there is also a swimming pool. What a perfect way to spend the day. Visit their website at www.Bottaiawinery.com

The Renzoni family started creating wines over 100 years ago along Italy’s northern coast.  The tradition continues today with the family producing some of the finest wines. Their winery in Temecula offers a very relaxing area for special group meetings and having a tasty meal.  It’s the perfect spot for a sunset dinner .  Check out their website – robertrenzonivineyards.com

Do you love a spa as much as we do?  There is a very relaxing spa at Pechanga Resort Casino actually you can do it all when you visit the resort.  If you want to try your hand with blackjack or your favorite casino fun it’s there, restaurants for delicious food, golfing, entertainment from comedy club to lobby bar and of course you can stay there. Check out their website at www.pechanga.com

Are you wondering where to stay?  Temecula Creek Inn – the perfect place that gives you the feel of being in a secluded wooded area, with a golf course right outside your window and a restaurant right downstairs.  Here’s their website – www.temecularcreekinn.com.

During Annita’s visit she had a chance to explore the Temecula Olive Oil farm with owner Thom Curry.  He along with his wife and another family, has an orchard of olives on their farm.  Their olive oil is processed in a mobile processing center which makes the steps in creating delicious oils much easier. Visit their website – www.temecularoilveoil.com

While visiting Temecula Annita had a chance to talked with Jan Snyder, owner of Temecula Lavender Company about the types of lavender she grows well in the Temecula area.

Annita also talked with Lani, owner of Sugarplum Zoo and Chocolates.  The animals which need more individual care. At her zoo she can re-homed them from other smaller zoos. For more information – visit www.sugarplumfarmoftemecula.com
