With Spring Break just around the corner it’s time to start thinking about where the family can go that’s fun and memorable?  Well, the Weather Channel announced their pick and who knows where the weather will be perfect…. the weather folks!

Let’s take a look at their top 10 choices and we have added why Travel Bags thinks they are great choices too:

  1. San Diego, CA- Of course the Weather Channel would have San Diego #1 on the list; with beautiful year round weather, a variety of attractions and 70 miles of beaches, you are sure to have fun.  But, for the animal lovers the zoo will be on your “must see” list.  Don’t forget Legoland for the kid in us all.
  2. Orlando, FL – Who can resist a warm welcome from Mickey and Minnie at Disney World.  After visiting  the world’s most famous theme park, check out  NASA’s Kennedy Center, and if you’re there during baseball’s spring training hopefully a signed baseball can top off your vacation souvenirs.
  3. Yellowstone National Park – While Old Faithful Geyser is still the famous draw, this National Park offers something for everyone.  And, what child doesn’t want to earn a Junior Rangers patch all while learning and having fun!
  4. Hershey, PA – A theme park and chocolate combined; who can resist sweet fun for adults and children.  Hersey’s theme park is a must to put on any vacation list.
  5. Atlantis, Bahamas – So many options, so make sure you plan enough time for wildlife, casinos, giant water slides, and of course the beautiful white sand beaches.
  6. Caribbean Cruises – Cruise ships are known for their activities, all inclusive packages and a good bargain for families.  And, even with some of the recent incidents at sea, cruising is still a great option to consider.
  7. Maui – Outdoor activities from biking, hiking and all things adventure in a exotic location and you still have the beautiful beaches to explore.
  8. Washington, DC – With a treasure trove of history, museums and governmental sites, there’s something for everyone.  And, don’t forget a stop by the White House.  Maybe a Bo the dog sighting?
  9. Estes Park, CO – Camping, biking, horseback riding all in the Rocky Mountains National Park and not only a Spring Break choice, it is great fun in the summer too.
  10. Myrtle Beach, SC– Sunny beach, budget friendly and great children’s programs.  What’s not to like?
