5. Diamond Head State Monument – Most people see it as just a mountain – but it is actually a crater created over 300,000 years ago during a single volcanic eruption. It is one of the most recognized and iconic landmarks in the world. Have your camera ready while walking around Waikiki. The first time you see this spectacular site raising up from the ocean, you will be awestruck. Take your photos, but also go over for a hike. It’s a great destination for a bit of adventure and outdoor fun.
