A golden sunrise shines golden on two of the Sapelo Island Birdhouse luxury cottages.

  1.    The Sapelo Island BirdhousesOur number one pick and for good reason. You’re on an (almost) private island, surrounded by beautiful Live Oak trees, palmetto palm trees and the ocean all around you. Two cottages have porches where you can watch the tide roll in and watch it roll out. Catch it on a full moon and you’re really in the right spot for romance.
  2. Barnsley Resort – Adairsville
Because it started with a love story with it’s original owner, who purchased the land to build a home for his beloved wife, this place has a top spot for togetherness.  With beautiful gardens, horseback rides and a chance to sit by the fire.  You’re there – completely.  But, if you need a little him in the romance area, there’s the Fairy Godmother, ready to make her dreams come true with special treats all around the – just for your special person. That includes rose petals waiting on the bed or sprinkled along a lovely path.  There no resisting those special touches.
  3. The Treehouse Atlanta
Ok – A tree house. Who hasnt’ dreamt of living in a treehouse and living the fairytale life.  Here’s your chance to make an impression that will live forever. Whisk her away to a private get away – and it’s in a tree.  You’ll be her Tarzan, and she’ll be your Jane – and the romance will fill the open air of the unique place.
  4. The Gastonian – Savannah
Yes, we’re saying Savannah. I know, I know – that alone spells romance.  It’s the oldest city in Georgia and homes around the city simply know how to make lemonade out of lemons. If you feel like you need a Valentine’s Do Over – Savannah, brings the charm, hospitality, laid-back, slow pace that you’ll need to focus on your special someone.  A stay at the Gastonian with its antiques, fireplaces and elegance – means “I’m making this a special day!”  You scored points on this one!
  5. Twelve Oaks Bed and Breakfast – Covington
Built in 1836 this home stands proud and grand in Covington, GA. Immediately you are pulled inside. You want to see it, feel it, experience it. With a selection of beautiful rooms, there is not a hit or miss surprise. Pick one you can’t go wrong.
  6. Smithgall Woods State Park (Smithgall Cottages) – Helen
It’s a state park and in the mountains – now that’s a real retreat.  There are six cottages to choose from so you’ll surely discover your favorite.  There are several activities to keep you busy with your sweetheart.  There are several activities – hiking, hot tubs and have your meals catered to the cottage. Now that’s romantic.
  7. The Ritz-Carlton Reynolds, Lake Oconee – Greensboro
With a 5,400 square foot lake house and 251 guests rooms – what’s not to like! Bump-up the romance with 24-hour room service. You’ll never want to leave the room at this beautiful property.
  8. The Paxton (Paxton House) – Thomasville
Historic, Classic, Victorian – all descriptions of this wonderful home built in 1884 by Colonel J.W. Paxton.  Guests can rent one of three cottages for extra privacy.  But, your sweetheart may love the nostalgia and 12-foot ceilings of the original home.  It’s a toss up – but you can go wrong booking either.
