Holiday light shows brighten our days and bring joy to the season. It’s time to gather the family, jump in the car and find a colorful illumination of holiday spirit. You’ll find it hard this holiday season to stop saying, “Oh, What fun!”

Here is a list of light shows to consider:

Garden Lights – Holiday Nights

The Atlanta Botanical Gardens returns this year with trails of lights around the gardens. Each path gives you the feeling of walking through the lights. The highlight is always wandering upon the Earth Goddess draped in lights and as spectacular as always. From now until Jan. 14

Illuminights 

 

Let’s go to the Atlanta Zoo! Bring to life holiday joy with the many animals from around the world. The Zoo becomes a wonderland filled with more than 80 hand-painted lanterns in the shape of animals. And, with some of them reaching over 20 feet high, it’s truly a mesmerizing way to say wow!

World of Illumination

Six Flags White Water brings on an epic holiday light drive-thru. Hop in the car with family and friends and head over to see the annual transformation of the Park into a holiday Joyland. Each year there is a different theme. If you visited last year, this year you’ll find something new to celebrate. This year’s theme is ‘Reindeer Road,’ with an audio-visual element that transforms this beloved tradition into an immersive experience.

Stone Mountain Park

Known for making outdoor time a grand adventure, the Christmas Park doesn’t disappoint during the holidays. It’s a magical experience with millions of sparkling lights in all colors. Take a set in the Magical Frosted Forest for a stellar Christmas light and laser show. You’ll be dazzled and amazed when your favorite holiday characters come to life.

Callaway Gardens – Fantasy of Lights

It’s a road trip to Pine Mountain, Georgia, this Christmas for a light display that has become a local tradition. Ride through on the trolley filled with the holiday spirit, where light displays line the streets and are nestled into garden spots along the roadway. 

Stop in the Christmas Village for a stroll and give your Christmas wish list to Santa. 

National Geographic chose Fantasy In Lights as one of the Top 10 Light Displays in the world.

You can opt to extend your North Pole stay in one of their beautiful accommodations and wake up to 2,500 acres of stunning natural landscape waiting for you to explore during the day.

Margaritaville Lakeside Lights Spectacular replaced Lake Lanier Magical Night of Lights. Now you’re up close with the lights as you walk through a fantastic array of lights, music, and holiday spirit.

State Botanical Garden

 

It’s a winter wonderland in Athens. The Winter WonderLights at The State Botanical Gardens of Georgia offers a walk-through light show extravaganza featuring several bright-shiny displays along a half-mile path.

Atlanta Holiday Lights

Lakewood Amphitheater has the headliner of Atlanta Holiday Lights; this year, they are bigger, better, and longer than ever. The displays are hand-crafted from favorite holiday movies and stop by a mini neighborhood for some of Atlanta’s local businesses.

Six Flags Over Georgia – Holidays In The Park

When the attraction known for high-energy fun opens its doors for the holiday festivities, you know there will be a roller coaster of fun. Six Flags Over Georgia has a brand new light show – Holidays In The Park – One of the favorites returning is the North Pole Playground, where Santa is waiting to hear your wish list. Take a walk through the holiday neighborhoods and experience where all the lights, sounds, and smells create a spectacular holiday experience.

The Park is filled with music and choreographed dancing lights creating a joyful energy that only an adventure park can genuinely pull off.

Big attractions may top the holiday list of places to illuminate your holiday spirit but include your nearby neighborhoods where the Christmas spirit comes alive in unique and heartfelt ways.  

 

Lights of Joy 

Located on 1510 Ben King Road in Kennesaw invite you to come by and see its spectacular light show.  

There are over 230 trees; Pine trees with colored lights around the bottom and hardwood trees filled with white lights. One tree has over 20,000 lights, and three additional trees have approximately 15,000 lights each. There are 40 musical trees synchronized to Christmas music. 

You’ll find 60 Holly bushes with 150,00 lights shaped into Christmas trees along the front of the church across the street. 

We feature “The Tunnel of Joy” with over 100,000 lights, Santa in a helicopter, Santa on a tractor, Santa on a golf cart, a giant star, and many other characters.
